सरदार मुजुमदार वाडा, कसबा पेठ - पुणे  मुजुमदार (मूळ शब्द - मजमू (फारसी)) म्हणजे महसूल गोळा करणारा. श्रीमंत पेशवे यांच्याकडून जी आज्ञापत्रे, राजपत्रे, देणग्या, सनदा, जहागिऱ्या दिल्या जात त्यांची नोंद मुजुमदारांच्या दप्तरात होऊन त्यावर त्यांच्या सहीचा शिक्का पडल्यावर तो कागद कायदेशीर ठरत असे. या घराण्याचे मूळ पुरुष नारो गंगाधर यांना इ. स. १७१४ मध्ये शाहू महाराजांकडून संपूर्ण राज्याचा मजमूचा अधिकार मिळाला. या नारो गंगाधर यांनी पुढे संन्यास घेतला. त्यांच्या निधनानंतर या वाडय़ाजवळच त्यांची समाधी बांधली आहे. सरदार मुजुमदार यांच्या वाडा १९४८ सालची गोष्ट. गणेशोत्सवाच्या निमित्ताने पुण्यामधील कसबा पेठेतील सरदार मुजुमदार यांच्या वाडय़ात पं. भीमसेन जोशी प्रथमच गाणार होते. त्यांची ओळख करून देताना आबासाहेब मुजुमदार म्हणाले, ‘याच गादीवर प्रख्यात गायक अब्दुल करीम खाँ यांचे गायन झाले आहे. रसिकांना शास्त्रीय संगीताची गोडी लावणारे त्यांचे शिष्य सवाई गंधर्व यांचेही गायन इथे झाले आहे आणि आज गंधर्वाचे शिष्य भीमसेन जोशी हेदेखील इथे गाणार आहेत. म्हणजे एका अर्थाने संगीत क्षेत्रातील गुरुकुलाची परंपरा
